Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Systemically healthy individuals; both sexes; age between 18 and 65 years; history of periodontal disease; non-smokers; glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) <5.7%; presence of at least one dental implant in function for a minimum of 1 year; rehabilitation with Plenum® dental implants (Jundiaí, São Paulo, Brazil), manufactured from Ti-6Al-4V ELI titanium alloy with a Morse taper connection; presence of at least one periodontally healthy tooth in the same dental arch and in the contralateral hemiarch to the implant
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Presence of uncontrolled systemic diseases, such as cardiac, renal, gastrointestinal, hepatic, pulmonary, neurological, psychiatric, hematological, or metabolic disorders; continuous use of medication initiated less than 3 months before enrollment; pregnancy or breastfeeding; inability to undergo the clinical procedures or examinations required by the study; smokers; glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) =5.7%; use of systemic antibiotics within the previous 6 months; inability to attend the study assessments
