Eligibility

Age
30 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteers of both genders; non smokers; age between 30 and 60 years who present type 2 diabetes mellitus, who do not use insulin and who present dyslipidemia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with BMI above 35, smokers and who use insulin.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Mean difference in fasting glycemia of 85 mg/dL and reduction of glycated hemoglobin of 10%, comparing the beginning to the end of the study.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Decreased of body weight and anthropometric measurements. Change in systemic blood pressure and heart rate at rest. Change in resting energy expenditure. Reduction of lipid profile and markers of systemic inflammation.
