Eligibility

Age
14 Years to 25 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients of both sexes, aged between 14 and 25 years, presenting with a full permanent dentition up to the second molars; Class II, Division 1 malocclusion, with severity ranging from ¼ to ¾ based on the molar relationship

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Class II, Division 2 malocclusion, or Class II malocclusions with severities greater than ¾ according to the molar relationship;Patients who have previously undergone orthodontic treatments involving premolar extractions; Patients with any systemic condition that may affect periodontal health, as well as those with facial deformities or syndromes

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It’s expected to find both treatment approaches to be effective for the correction of Class II malocclusion. It’s expected to observe similar outcomes in the evaluations of dental models, lateral cephalometric radiographs, 3D photographs, and patient-reported outcomes related to pain and discomfort. The findings of this randomized clinica trial aim to guide clinicians in selecting the most appropriate clear aligner-based therapy for the treatment of Class II malocclusion

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to determine the total treatment time, the level of predictability of orthodontic tooth movement, adherence to aligner use, and possible complications
