Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Guardians that authorized the participation of the scholar in the study through the signing of the Free and Informed Consent Form; scholars who signed the Consent Form and that were enrolled in the sixth to the ninth grade in the School of Application of UFSC; scholars who used fluoride toothpaste and had a Smartphone with the WhatsApp Application

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Dental caries with repercussions in the pulp; scholars with orthodontic devices; with systemic diseases; and with learning disabilities

MeasureTime frame
Longitudinal evaluation of the sucesss of the activities in health education Clinical examinations were made considering the DMFT Idex (Decay, missing, filled in permanent teeth), dmft Index (Decay, missing, filled in deciduous teeth), PI (Plaque Index), and the Gingival Bleeding Index in the participants of the study. After 28 days and after the presential education in health the examinations were repeated with the exeption of the DMFT and dmft Indexes to compare the indexes and to obtain the results related to the improvement, worsening or stabilization of the clinical indicators of oral health

Evaluation of the factors associated to the scholars’ oral health condition A questionnaire was answered by the scholars´ guardians with questions about socioeconomic factors, eating habits and oral hygiene of the scholars, frequency and use of dental services, and the guardians´perception of the scholar´s oral health and self-perception ;Evaluation of the factors associated to the scholars’ oral health condition A questionnaire was answered by the scholars with questions about eating and oral hygiene habits, frequency and use of dental services, and self-perception of oral health ;Evaluation of the scholars´ oral hygiene habits A questionnaire was answered by the scholars with questions about oral hygiene habits before and after the interventions in oral health. The data will be compared between groups and within the same group before and after the interventions
