Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
We sought to evaluate occupational stressors, depressive symptoms, cognitive anxiety, perception of work support and burnout indicators in a sample of 584 nursing professionals, working in three hospital institutions, located in a city in the interior of the state of São Paulo. Specifically, the study sought to analyze the possible differences in response averages based on sociodemographic variables in the instruments applied, as well as to verify associations between the evaluated constructs. That is, it was expected to understand which sociodemographic variables influence the measured indicators (burnout, cognitive anxiety, depression, perception of work support and occupational stressors) and what the relationships between these constructs would be. This study is characterized as cross-sectional, of a quantitative nature. Through descriptive and inferential analyzes in statistical programs, it was found that factors such as sex, age, time in the job and double shifts, must be taken into account when establishing prevention strategies and organizational actions in mental health in nursing teams.
