Experimental group: 80 men, adults, healthy young people, will participate in two meetings lasting two hours each. The meetings are group format, interactive and dynamic, in which the subjects will pe
(b) Discuss the origin and perpetuation of this "cultural ideal," including the visualization of images that illustrate how TV and film superheroes have changed over time
(c) Discuss the costs of pursuing this "cultural ideal"
(d) Participate in a verbal challenge against the message of the ideal mesomorphic body
(e) Complete homework assignments (write an e-mail to a high school student, two behavioral challenges, and an exposure to the mirror with a survey of attributes about his / her image). Session 2: (a)
(b) Participate in a dramatization to discourage the search for the "ideal body"
(c) Creating ways to withstand the pressure of pursuing the "cultural ideal" individually, in a group, and with the whole community (This activity in the original project was called "body activism")

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students. Men. Male. Between 18 and 30 years. Any color, race or ethnicity. Be regurlamente enrolled in the Federal University of Juiz de Fora-UFJF campus Governador Valadares - MG. Opt to participate voluntarily in the study.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Possess mental disorder, food and / or dysmorphic body diagnosed. Do not respond to instruments in the follow-up period. Ask for the termination of your participation, by means of an express, free and informed expression. Expressly request not to use your data.

Design outcomes

Intervention' efficacy in the reduction of symptoms of body weight and shape dissatisfaction, muscularity dissatisfaction, drive for muscularity, sociocultural influence on body image (internalisation of body ideal), disordered eating (eating restrain and bulimic symptoms) and body dysmorphic disorder (muscle dysmorphia) in young Brazilian adults. Will be evaluated the effectiveness of the intervention in the improvement of body appreciation in young Brazilian adults. For the assessment of the outcomes, specifics instruments will be used: Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire-3 - SATAQ-3 Male Body Dissatisfaction Scale - MBDS Body Shape Questionnaire - BSQ Eating Attitudes Test - 26 - EAT -26 Drive for Muscularity Scale – DMS Muscle Dysmorphia Disorder Inventory – MDDI Body Apreciation Scale – 2 - BAS-2 The protocol will be applied before and after the intervention, and in the flollow ups (1 month and 6 months) in both, intervention and control groups. The higher scores obtained, the higher the evaluated outcomes.
