Age
20 Years to 55 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Pain greater than or equal to 5 in the Visual Analogue Scale; nonspecific low back pain for more than 3 months; age between 20 and 55 years; both genders

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Spondylolisthesis; disc herniation; use of anti-inflammatories or analgesics; open areas such as wounds or burns; skin cancer; severe infections; extensive edema;pregnant women

Expected event: reduction of lumbar pain in the period of 1 month, according to Analogical Pain Scale, based on the observation of a variation of at least 30% in the pre and post intervention measurements for both practices, massage and massage with oil of lavender.;Event achieved: reduction of lumbar pain in the period of 1 month, according to Analog Visual Pain Scale, a 69% variation in massage and 65% in lavender oil massage, in the measurements one week before intervention and one week after intervention.

Expected event: improvement of physical and mental appearance quality of life in 1 month, according to quality of life instrument 12-Item Short-Form Heath Survey(SF12v2), based on the observation of a variation of at least 17% in pre and post intervention measurements for both practices, massage and massage with lavender oil.;Event achieved: physical quality of life improvement in the period of 1 month, according to 12-Item Short-Form Heath Survey(SF12v2), a variation of 21% in massage and 25% in massage with lavender oil, in the measurements one week before intervention and one week post intervention. In the mental aspect, there was a variation of 25% in massage and 28% in massage with lavender oil, in the measurements a week before intervention and one week post intervention.
