Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome of the study is the validation of a specific instrument for assessing susceptibility to dental erosion in young Brazilians, considering aspects of reliability and validity, including analysis of inter-judge agreement using the content validation index and the kappa index, and the assessment of the clinical and epidemiological applicability of the instrument. The instrument will be statistically analyzed using exploratory factor analysis to verify its dimensionality and internal consistency and compared to the gold standard index Basic Erosive Wear Examination, aiming to confirm its ability to identify risk factors associated with dental erosion in young Brazilians | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The secondary outcome includes the identification of items or questions in the instrument that may present difficulties in understanding or need adjustments after the semantic and content analysis. In addition, the practical applicability of the instrument during the pilot study is assessed, including the average response time and the ease of completion by participants. These complementary results aim to provide support for future improvements to the instrument, ensuring its efficiency and clarity for use in different contexts | — |
