Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: volunteers with age of 18 and 60, both men and women, have been practicing street racing for at least a year, accustomed to running more than 10 km continuously, to practice at least twice a week and not to have had muscle in last 6 months.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Not having heart disease, diabetes, hypertension, musculoskeletal diseases in the lower limbs in the last six months, without presence of cutaneous lesions in the region of the quadriceps muscle, not presenting severe metabolic or respiratory disorders, cramp, during the evaluation

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Participants will be assessed after a running session, right after the application of the interventions and 24h, 48h and 72h after the application of the interventions: Pain and fatigue reduction in the thigh after a running session assessed by numerical pain scale;

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Increasing in mood status measured with the Brunel mood scale;;Improvement in quadriceps muscle strength measured by hand held dynamometer (assessed before and after the application of the interventions, and after 48h);;Increase in knee flexion range of motion evaluated using an inclinometer (assessed before and after the application of the interventions, and after 48h);;Improvement in the performance of vertical jump using the app My jump 2 (assessed before and after the application of the interventions, and after 48h).;Pain reduction assessed by McGill questionnaire.
