Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Community-dwelling elderly; both genders; aged over 60; independent mobility; preserved bipedal stance; preserved walking ability

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Neuropsychiatric crises; history of seizures; use of a cardiac pacemaker; use of ocular prosthesis; presence of a metal clip in the head; presentation of unstable vital signs

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in the postural balance of community-dwelling active older adults is expected, assessed through kinematic and kinetic analysis using the Baiobit BTS system, based on the observation of a variation greater than 10% in body sway and postural stability parameters between the pre- and post-intervention assessments.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that there will be a reduction in the risk of falls among active older adults in the community, as verified by the Falls Risk Awareness Questionnaire (FRAQ-Brazil), based on the observation of a minimum 20% decrease in the total score between the pre- and post-intervention periods.;It is expected that an improvement in gait will be found in active elderly people in the community, verified through kinematic and kinetic analysis using the Baiobit BTS device, based on the observation of at least a 10% increase in walking speed and improvements in symmetry and regularity parameters of the gait pattern between pre- and post-intervention assessments.
