Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Increased inspiratory and expiratory muscle strength, analyzed by means of an analog manovacuometer, from the observation of a variation of at least 5% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements; We verified increased inspiratory and expiratory muscle strength after the intervention period. On the other hand, the control group did not present alteration in these variables | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |

| Increased quality of life, verified through the Parkinson's Disease Questionnaire (PDQ-39). Reduction of anxiety levels, verified through the Beck Anxiety Inventory. Reduction of Depression symptoms, assessed from the Hamilton Depression Scale. Decreased motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease measured from the Unified Scale of Assessment of Patients with Parkinson's Disease (UPDRS). For all data, a variation of at least 5% in the pre- and post-intervention measurements; We found an increase in quality of life, a decrease in anxiety and depression levels, and an improvement in the motor and non-motor symptoms of Parkinson's disease | — |
