Eligibility

Age
15 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients diagnosed with ARDS defined by the Berlin criteria for mechanical ventilation and defined by the care team beginning the weaning process of mechanical ventilation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Use of Cardiac Pacemaker;Injury in the thoracic cavity that makes impossible the placement of the electrodes of the tomograph of electrical impedance;Impossibility to perform the examination for reasons that may impair the patient's progress.

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Success or failure of mechanical ventilation weaning

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Incidence of asynchrony (asynchrony index) evaluated by the signs of flow and pressure obtained by the proximal TIE pneumotachograph ;Using the TIE pneumotachograph proximal flow and pressure data for validation of the asynchronous tool present in the ENLIGHT 1800 tomograph, made by specialists in asynchrony
