Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 100 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease in hemodialysis treatment for a period of more than or equal to 3 months; stable medication; no contraindications for performing physical activity

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Inability to understand the procedures performed; previous diagnosis of coronary artery disease; previous positive exercise test for cardiac ischemia; patient classified as active or very active based on the instrument applied; patient suffering from stroke; carrier of neoplasia; infection Acute or chronic in activity; HA Stage II; previous diagnosis of dementia; delirium; presence of depression;use of drugs that influence cognitive function

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in cerebral blood flow assessed by Transcranial Doppler at the beginning and at the end of the study.;There was improvement in the pulsatility index (p = 0.015) in seven of the nine domains evaluated by Transcranial Doppler at the beginning and at the end of the study.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Improvement in quality of life assessed from kidney disease and quality of Life Short-Form at the beginning and at the end of the study. ;There was improvement in quality of life in the domains "stimulus of the dialysis team" (p = 0.025) and "pain" (p = 0.048) assessed at the beginning and at the end of the study.;Improvement in cognitive function assessed by the Mini Mental State Examination at the beginning and end of the study. ;There was improvement in cognitive function (p = 0.001) assessed by the Mini Mental State Examination at the beginning and end of the study.
