Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Included in the study were patients of both genders; aged 18 years or older; who were under medical follow-up due to a diagnosis of chronic kidney disease; on hemodialysis for at least 6 months;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who did not agree to participate in the research; those who died or dropped out; as well as those who were already doing auricular acupuncture and physical exercise outside the research will be excluded; Patients who had less than 75% adherence to the total number of sessions;

Expected outcome: It is expected with this project to identify the effectiveness of physical exercise and auricular acupuncture in the population under hemodialysis, in order to identify the benefits of these practices in terms of improving the quality of life of these patients, in order to minimize the suffering caused by this therapy, namely: nausea, systemic pain, vomiting, depressive symptoms, anxiety and fatigue. In addition, we aim to develop technical and scientific materials based on the themes studied, such as case reports, abstracts for conferences, course completion papers and articles;Outcome found: the application of auriculotherapy and physical exercise treatments resistance in patients undergoing hemodialysis promoted protection against oxidative stress by increased levels of antioxidants, in addition to reducing reactive oxygen species and some mediators that suggest inflammatory processes. These non-pharmacological treatments also altered routine biochemical markers of patients and further served as tools to increase the perception of quality of life.
