Interventions

The study will have four groups of ten patients each. One intervention will be the modification of the fresh gas flow on the anesthesia station. Two groups will use a fresh gas flow of 1l per minute (

Age
1 Years to 14 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ASA physical satus 1 or 2, weight between 10 and 30kg, estimated surgical time of at least 80 minutes

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Refusal to participate, head and neck surgery

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It will be measured the temperature (in Celsius degrees) and humidity (in percentage) of the inspired gases. To obtain this measurements it will be used a thermohygrometer adapted on the ventilatory circuit. The outcomes will be the humidity of the inspired gases and temperature of the inspired gases.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It will be used as secondary outcomes: the airway pressures, the respiratory frequency of the patient and the patient core temperature
