Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a reduction in the severity of eating disorder symptoms, measured through the global score and the four subscales of the Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q), based on the difference in means between the intervention and control groups, calculated by comparing the scores obtained at baseline and the scores obtained at the assessment conducted after 6 weeks of intervention; It is expected to find a reduction in body dissatisfaction levels, measured through the total score of the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-34), based on the difference in means between the intervention and control groups, calculated by comparing the scores obtained at baseline and the scores obtained at the assessment conducted after 6 weeks of intervention

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to observe an increase in body appreciation, verified through the total score of the Body Appreciation Scale (BAS-2), based on the difference in means between the intervention and control groups, calculated by comparing the scores obtained at baseline and the scores obtained at the assessment conducted after 6 weeks of intervention; It is expected to observe a reduction in the internalization of the thin ideal and the perception of sociocultural pressures, measured by the subscales of the Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire (SATAQ-4R), based on the difference in means between the intervention and control groups, calculated by comparing the scores obtained at baseline and the scores obtained at the assessment conducted after 6 weeks of intervention; It is expected to observe a reduction in symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress, measured by the subscales of the Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale for Adolescents (DASS-21), based on the difference in means between the intervention and control groups, calculated by comparing the scores obtained at baseline and the scores obtained at the assessment conducted after 6 weeks of intervention; It is expected to observe the persistence of positive effects on the primary and secondary outcomes compared to baseline, verified through the point-in-time application of the instruments Eating Disorder Examination Questionnaire (EDE-Q), Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ-34), Body Appreciation Scale (BAS-2), Sociocultural Attitudes Towards Appearance Questionnaire (SATAQ-4R), and Depression, Anxiety and Stress Scale for Adolescents (DASS-21) at 10 and 30 weeks from the start of the study (1-month and 6-month follow-up), using as a parameter the difference in means between the intervention and control groups calculated by comparing the scores at this time point with the baseline via analysis of the Group x Time interaction in Mixed ANOVA models with post-hoc tests and reporting of Cohen's d effec
