Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: women; age between 18 and 30 years; sedentary or non-practitioners of regular physical exercises for the upper limbs; availability to carry out training twice a week during the training period; absence of injury or trauma to both hands; absence of a history of rheumatological diseases in the hands; absence of intense manual labor activity (requiring hand strength).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: trauma or injury to the upper limb during the strengthening period; presence of pain or discomfort with training.

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find an increase in absolute handgrip strength in both groups, but in sustained strength it is expected that the mean strength in the last 60% of the time is greater in the decreasing load group, because it is the load that is proposed to reduce muscle fatigue. The method used to measure absolute and sustained strength is dynamometer.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a decrease in muscle activation, measured by the root mean square, which represents the mean amplitude of the electromyographic signal in both groups, but a greater reduction is expected in the decreasing load group. The method used to measure muscle activation is electromyography.
