Control group: 10 newborns will be submitted to gastrointestinal intubation and the length of the tube to be introduced will be checked by the NEMU method (nose, earlobe, mid-umbilicus): distance meas

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Newborn; both genres; need a gastric tube; do not present any type of congenital malformation or syndrome; have not suffered surgical procedure in the gastrointestinal system.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: newborn who is seriously ill; under minimal care; has a medical contraindication of nasopharyngeal tube; severe hypothermia that prevents the X-ray, ultrasonography, weighing and length verification.

Primary outcome expected: Percentage of gastric tubes visualized in the body of the stomach, from radiological image, performed up to 1 hour after insertion of the tube.;Primary outcome found: Control group: 66.7% of gastric tubes visualized in the stomach body, from a radiological image, performed up to 1 hour after insertion of the catheter. Experimental group 1: 0% of gastric tubes visualized in the stomach body, from a radiological image, performed up to 1 hour after insertion of the catheter. Experimental group 2: 86,7% of gastric tubes visualized in the stomach body, from a radiological image, performed up to 1 hour after insertion of the catheter.
