| 1) It was expected that the experimental group had a reduction in depression. 2) The Geriatric Depression Scale and the Beck Depression Scale were used before and at the end of the 20-week art therapy intervention. 3) Reducing the score of these scales means reducing the symptoms of depression. 1) It was expected that the control group had no reduction in depression. 2) The Geriatric Depression Scale and the Beck Depression Scale, applied before and at the end of the same 20-week period, were used without receiving any intervention ;1) The experimental group, after the art therapy intervention, had a reduction in the scores of the Geriatric Depression Scale and the Beck Depression Scale, that is, reduction of the symptoms of depression. 1) The control group had a small reduction in the scoring in the above mentioned scales; However, the scoring reduction in these scales for the experimental group was significantly higher than for the control group. 2) The logistic regression test was used to compare the 2 groups (Time 2 - end of the study compared to Time 1 - start of the study). In the experimental group, the mean reduction in the geriatric depression scale was found to be 3.4 points and in the control group a reduction of 0.6 points was found. The difference was significant p = 0.007. 2) In the comparison between the 2 groups, using the logistic regression (Time 2 - Time 1), in the Beck depression scale the mean score reduction was 8.6 points in the experimental group and in the control group the reduction was 1 , 6. The difference was significant p = 0.025. | — |

| 1) It was expected that the experimental group had reduction in anxiety after intervention of 20 weeks of art therapy. 2) The Beck Anxiety Scale, applied before and at the end of the 20-week art therapy intervention. 3) Reducing the score on this scale means reducing the anxiety symptoms. 1) It was expected that the control group had no reduction in anxiety. 2) The Beck Anxiety Scale, applied before and at the end of the same 20-week period, without receiving any intervention. Other parameters for the experimental group: 1) It was expected that the experimental group had an improvement in the cognitive aspects and visual-construction after a 20-week intervention in art therapy. 2) The following scales were applied before and at the end of the 20-week art therapy intervention to assess whether there were changes in the cognitive aspects: Mini-exam of mental state, clock drawing test, verbal fluency test – animal category and test trail A , and Rey's complex figure test to assess visuo-construction, 3) The increase in the scoring of these scales means improvement in cognition and visual-construction. 1) It was expected that the experimental group had an improvement in functionality after 20 weeks of art therapy intervention. 2) The Functional Assessment Staging Test was used before and at the end of the 20-week art therapy intervention. 3) Reducing the score on this scale means improved functioning. Other parameters for the control group: 1) It was expected that the control group did not improve cognitive aspects and visual-construction after 20 weeks without receiving any intervention. 2) The following scales were applied, before and at the end of the same 20-week period, without receiving any intervention, to evaluate whether there would be changes in the cognitive aspects: Mini-exam of mental state, clock drawing test, verbal fluency – animal category test and test trail A, and Rey's complex figure test to assess visuo-construction. 3) The i | — |
