Adequacy of the weight gain in adult pregnant women with overweight, food intake, practice of physical activity, plasma glucose, insulin, C reactive protein, blood pressure, gestational diabetes, hypertensive disorders, prematurity, type of delivery and birth weight of the baby.

All study participants (n=300) will receive the usual prenatal care in the health units. The pregnant women in the intervention group (n=150), in addition to the usual prenatal follow-up, will be invi

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Age over 18 years old; gestational age at the time of screening up to the 15th weeks and 6 days; and BMI at the time of screening between 25 and 29.9 kg per square meter
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Twin pregnancy; previous diabetes; in use of weight loss medications.
