This is a quasi-experimental, crossover study with a pre- and post-test design, involving elderly individuals selected by convenience. Participants were allocated to two groups: the Experimental Group

Eligibility
Age
60 Years to No maximum
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Be 60 years of age or older, undergo urological surgery and keep the urinary catheter after hospital discharge
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Elderly individuals who have used a urinary catheter at some point, as it is assumed they already know how to take care of themselves. Also, elderly individuals who are not cognitively capable of answering the questions in the data collection instrument
