Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Children attended at the pediatric outpatient clinic of the State University of Western Paraná. Age between 8 and 9 years. Children of both genders.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Children with physical disability and / or mental impairment.

The study hopes to understand the effectiveness of psychological preparation in the reduction of anxiety in pediatric dentistry services, broadening the discussions about the relevance of interdisciplinarity with a view to the humanized and integral care of the child. In view of the interface between psychology and dentistry in relation to oral health care, it is intended to construct an effective reception protocol for care based on the principles of integrality and humanization.

It is hoped to present significant indicators for the training in pediatric dentistry to contemplate the discipline of psychology. Also, it is considered the performance of psychology professionals in conjunction with pediatric dentistry.
