Eligibility
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients over 18 years of age; both sexes;full mouth biofilm and bleeding score equal to or less than twenty percent; bilateral Cairo RT1 gingival recessions on three adjacent teeth greater than or equal to 2mm; main complaint esthetics or dentin hypersensitivity
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Patients with systemic health problems; contraindication for periodontal surgery; smokers; pregnant or lactating women; previous root covering surgery at the experimental site
Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Percentage of root coverage in teeth with bilateral multiple gingival retractions, comparing the technique with individualization of porcine acellular dermal matrix restricted to the areas of recession, to the technique using the matrix totally over the entire receptor bed; this outcome will be measured by means of standardized clinical evaluation in predetermined periods with photographic, tomographic and digital recording by intraoral scanning; quantitative data will be presented as means and standard deviations; the significance level adopted will be 5% (p<0.05); inter-group and intra-group differences will be assessed using the most appropriate parametric or non-parametric tests after analyzing the normality of the data obtained | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| To evaluate the width of the keratinized mucosa strip; change in gingival phenotype; clinical insertion level; probing depth; dentin hypersensitivity and subjective aesthetic perception by comparing the two surgical techniques; quantitative data will be presented as means and standard deviations; the significance level adopted will be 5% (p<0.05); inter-group and intra-group differences will be assessed using the most appropriate parametric or non-parametric tests after analyzing the normality of the data obtained | — |
