Age
6 Years to 12 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 6 to 12 years old; both genders; patients in mixed dentition; skeletal maxillary hypoplasia; crossbite greater than 4 mm; intermolar distance smaller than 31mm; upper first permanent molars fully erupted

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients with dark pigmentation on the palate region; patients with systemic abnormalities; patients with special needs; presence fo dental malformations; patients with high risk for dental caries; high dental caries activity

Verify bone formation acceleration in midpalatal suture with low-level laser irradiation evaluated by occlusal radiographs. Evaluation performed by bone density (pixels) in the midpalatal suture;There was no bone acceleration in the midpalatal suture with low-level laser irradiation in relationship to the placebo group
