This is a randomized controlled, other, three-arm, single-blind study, with 180 equally distributed volunteers participating, that is, 60 volunteers in each group. Volunteer patients (students from th
Placebo (will receive acupuncture at points not indicated for the treatment of depression)
Treatment (will receive acupuncture at points indicated for depression) These groups will be divided into two groups: 1 - with symptoms of depression
2 - without symptoms of depression Patients classified in groups 1 and 2 will be divided into three experimental groups: - Control (will not receive any treatment)
- Placebo (will receive acupuncture at points not indicated for the treatment of depression)

Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students of the Health Sciences Center of the State University of Western Paraná, in Francisco Beltrão; aged between 18 and 60 years; both sexes; self-reported depressive symptoms, investigated through the application of the Patient Health Questionnaire; who agree to answer the questionnaires and sign the Free and Informed Consent Form (FICF)

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: History of neoplasia; thrombosis; autoimmune diseases; pregnancy; indication of absence of depression and severe depression, in the Patient Health Questionnaire-9; who are undergoing treatment for cardiovascular diseases
