Interventions

The study will be a randomized clinical trial. One hundred and twenty participants (n=120) will be randomized into two groups: a group with a predominance of strength training (P-TF) and a group with
the researcher responsible for randomization will be blinded, as will the other researchers responsible for the assessments.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Women over 40 years of age. Must not be involved in any regular physical exercise program. Must be fit to practice physical activity. Must not have any unstable medical conditions that prevent the practice of physical activity

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Having a muscle and/or joint injury that occurs during the study period that prevents them from performing the training proposed in the study. Not performing the tests and examinations proposed in the study design

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
We expect the high intensity interval training (HIIT) dominant group to be superior in metabolic and inflammatory parameters resulting from the reduction in body fat.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
As a secondary result, the predominant high intensity interval training (HIIT) group was superior in improving neuromuscular fatigue, muscle quality with the reduction of intramuscular fat.
