This study is a randomized clinical trial with four arms, without blinding. After the initial analysis, participants were divided into four experimental groups (20 participants in each group): Control
Aerobic Training Group (ATG): 10 females with a mean age of 15.4 ± 1.1 years and 10 males with a mean age of 16.7 ± 1.1 years
Strength Training Group (STG): 10 females with a mean age of 17.0 ± 1.3 years and 10 males with a mean age of 16.9 ± 0.2 years
Concurrent Training Group (CTG): 11 females with a mean age of 16.0 ± 1.15 years and 9 males with a mean age of 17.4 ± 1.5 years. The randomization for the study was conducted using the website Random

12 Years to 19 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Overweight or obese individuals; aged between 12 and 19 years; of both sexes; sedentary individuals; agreeing to take part in the study and signing an informed consent form; not undergoing any type of treatment for metabolic diseases or using drugs or procedures that could compromise the analysis; not having been diagnosed with thyroid or endocrine/genetic diseases

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who have orthopedic and cardiovascular limitations to physical practice; individuals who exercise regularly; individuals who do not comply with the researcher's requests for prior collection procedures; individuals who miss the scheduled dates for blood collection and physical assessments; individuals who miss two consecutive weeks of training sessions

Outcome found 1:after 12 weeks of intervention, all training protocols resulted in a reduction of LDL cholesterol levels to equal to or below 110 mg/dL, an increase in HDL cholesterol to equal to or above 40 mg/dL, and a reduction in fasting glucose to equal to or below 99 mg/dL;Expected outcome 1: do the different physical training protocols result in reductions in LDL cholesterol levels, increases in HDL cholesterol levels, and reductions in fasting blood glucose levels after 12 weeks of intervention?
