Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with neurological and cognitive impairments; cardiorespiratory diseases; the history of orthopedic and traumatological disorders in the lower limbs or trunk

Outcome: number of repetitions during a functional test It was expected a reduction/limitation in the installation of the muscular fatigue process during a functional test evaluated by the number of repetitions and the time of execution of the test, being that the increase in both the number and time of execution of the test indicates a limitation or even a reversal of the fatigue process, suggesting that the PBM was able to potentiate the energetic metabolism of the muscle making the volunteer more fatigue-resistant. The study protocol used to quantify lower limb fatigue resistance was an adaptation of the Up Down Hop Test. This test consisted of going up and down a 26 cm high step, made of a wooden box with an Ethylene Vinylacetat (EVA) coated surface, sustaining the movement at a constant pace and for the longest time tolerable until exhaustion. Aiming to standardize the test intensity among all participants and minimize the anaerobic routes participation in the exhaustion process, the rhythm adopted by the volunteer was self-selected, but it was based on the perceived exertion corresponding to BORG scale description as "somewhat hard", which is equivalent to the numerical classification between 13 and 14. The first set of trials (pre) was performed before the intervention by PBM. The time spent for the intervention lasted about 15 minutes, and after this time, the evaluation test was reapplied in the second set of trials (immediate post) to verify the immediate PBM effect. Later an interval between 24 to 48 hours after the PBM stimulus application, a new set of trials (late post) was performed to evaluate the PBM effect in the short term.
