Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Individuals submitted to myocardial revascularization; both sexes; between 18 and 70 years.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals who present postoperative complications that could delay hospital discharge, considering the average number of days of hospitalization (maximum 10 days); individuals unable to understand and follow the research procedures (follow the evaluation protocol before and after the research intervention).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 1: Improvement in respiratory muscle strength, evaluated by manovacuometry with an increase of at least 10% of respiratory muscle strength. Data collected before intervention and 30 days after the intervention.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected outcome 2: Improvement in thoracic expandability, assessed by thoracic cirtometry with at least 1 cm increase in chest expansion. Data collected before intervention and 30 days after the intervention. ;Expected outcome 3: Improvement in lower extremity muscular endurance, assessed by sit-up and one-minute lift with an increase of at least 5 repetitions in the test. Data collected before intervention and 30 days after the intervention.;Expected outcome 4: Improvement in quality of life, assessed by a generic questionnaire with an increase of at least 10 points in quality of life. Data collected before intervention and 30 days after the intervention.
