Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| An improvement in performance is expected in the time-trial test, assessed by the time required to complete the 4-kilometer and 16.1-kilometer distances. The potential improvement will be confirmed by applying the 0.3 × coeficient of variation rule of the test (where the coefficient of variation of the 4-km and 16-km time trial, in seconds, which is approximately 1.5% in cyclists). This value is grounded in physiological guidelines | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| An increase in maximal oxygen uptake greater than 3.5 mL/kg/min is expected, along with an increase in mean power above 1.5%, an increase in rating of perceived exertion greater than 1 point, and an increase in heart rate greater than 2 beats per minute | — |
