Age
18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Stroke hemiparetic patients, clinically stable and in the subacute or chronic phase of the disease; Age range equal to or greater than years; Agree and show interest in participating in the project from start to finish.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who present hemiparesis due to other pathologies, other than stroke, as well as hemiplegic patients; Patients who present bilateral motor impairment, which impedes characterization as hemiparetic; Patients with severe visual and / or auditory impairment; Uncooperative and / or severely cognitively impaired patients; Patients who can not independently stand up (use of aid devices: crutch, cane or walker); Patients who are performing any type of rehabilitation for the trunk and lower limbs (hydrotherapy, conventional physiotherapy, physical exercises in general).

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Muscular strength: will be evaluated and trained with the Serious Game developed specifically for the project. A Bonet chair adapted with a load cell will be prepared, which will allow assessing the strength of the flexor and extensor muscles of the knee bilaterally. Three measurements of each muscle group in maximal voluntary isometric contraction (MVIC) will be performed for 3 to 5 seconds, in the pre and post-intervention period.

MeasureTime frame
Functional Mobility: will be evaluated with the Timed Up and Go Test. This variable will be evaluated 3 times in the pre-intervention period and 3 times in the post-intervention period.;Balance and physical mobility: measured through the Gait Speed Test. This variable will be evaluated 3 times in the pre-intervention period and 3 times in the post-intervention period.;Spasticity: Will be measured with the Modified Ashworth Scale. Only the quadriceps femoral muscle group will be evaluated. This variable will be evaluated 3 times in the pre-intervention period and 3 times in the post-intervention period.;Motor impairment: will be assessed through the Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale. Only the section referring to the motor function of the lower limb will be used. This variable will be evaluated 3 times in the pre-intervention period and 3 times in the post-intervention period.;Functional Independence: Will be measured with the Modified Barthel Index. This variable will be evaluated once in the pre-intervention period and once in the post-intervention period.;Perception of quality of life: will be assessed through the Nottingham Health Profile. This variable is evaluated 1 time in the pre-intervention period and 1 time in the post-intervention period.;Motor control: will be evaluated and trained with the Serious Game developed specifically for the project. A Bonet chair will be prepared, adapted with a load cell, which will allow to evaluate and train motor control on the flexor and extensor muscles of the knee bilaterally. Three measurements of each muscle group will be performed in the pre- and post-intervention period, using the motor control evaluation protocol developed by the researchers.
