Age
18 Years to 40 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Healthy volunteers; aged between 18 and 40 years; man ou woman; current or former undergraduate or graduate student of the Institute of Science and Technology at the Federal University of São Paulo

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Volunteers with cardiovascular comorbidities; use of medications that interfere with autonomic control (beta-blockers, anxiolytics, and antidepressants) within the 6 months prior to participation

Expected to observe stronger effects on cardiac autonomic control in healthy subjects with feedback-based transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation using the prototype developed by the research group, compared to transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation without feedback using a commercial device, based on the application of signal processing techniques.

Expected to observe a greater reduction in salivary cortisol levels in healthy subjects with feedback-based transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation using the prototype developed by the research group, compared to transcutaneous auricular vagus nerve stimulation without feedback using a commercial device.
