Interventions

This study uses a transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) through a pair of 35cm2 sponge electrodes embedded with saline solution. A total of 30 patients will be divided in active tDCS (n=15) a
(2) sham group with the anodic electrode in the left DLPFC but with the device without emitting any current. For all groups, the cathode electrode will be positioned over the left contralateral supra

Age
30 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Participants were selected from a specialized outpatient service and regarded as suitable to participate in this study if they fulfilled the following criteria: clinical diagnoses of diabetic polyneuropathy; aged from 30 to 70 years; not lactating; no history of brain surgery, tumor, or intracranial metal implantation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Participants with any uncontrolled clinical disease, such as thyroid disease, cardiovascular, pulmonary, haematological or renal disease; alcohol or other substance abuse; pregnancy; lactation; neuropsychiatric disorders; history of epilepsy and metallic implants in the head were excluded. Patients with significant cognitive dysfunction were excluded. Patients were carefully evaluated by a physician
