Interventions

Group 2: supplementation with RJ 30 minutes before HIIT and without performing HIIT
Group 3: HIIT test without supplementation and with supplementation with RJ immediately after HIIT
Group 4: supplementation with RJ 3 hours after HIIT.

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Males; aged between 18 and 35 years; practitioners of aerobic physical activity for at least 6 months; no history of chronic diseases; non-smokers; who do not take any type of controlled medication or antioxidant supplementation

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: People who use antioxidant supplements or controlled medication; who have metabolic or chronic diseases; smokers; allergic to bee products; sedentary; have muscle injuries or infectious and inflammatory conditions

Expected outcome 1: An improvement is expected in the royal jelly supplementation group compared to the placebo group in markers of endogenous antioxidant defense, such as the concentration of reduced glutathione (GSH) and the activity of the enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione reductase (GR), in trained individuals undergoing high-intensity interval exercise (HIIT).;Final stage 1:The results demonstrated an positive modulation in the activity of the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD) and glutathione reductase (GR), as well as in total antioxidant capacity (FRAP), indicating a strengthening of the oxidative defense system in the RJ group. Functional improvement in handgrip strength was also observed, with no adverse changes in biochemical and clinical parameters. No significant reductions were found in reactive oxygen species (EROs) levels or protein oxidation products, suggesting an adaptive and regulatory effect of RJ on the endogenous antioxidant system.
