Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Assessment of isometric and isokinetic contractions Assessments will be performed unilaterally, on the knee on the dominant side of the body. This instrument will assess maximum strength and fatigue period and recovery period. The study protocol consists of two moments: 1) pre and post fatigue protocol; 2) 48 hours post-intervention: pre and post fatigue protocol. | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Surface Electromyography (EMG) Assessment Assessments will be performed unilaterally, on the dominant side of the body. This instrument will evaluate the electromyographic activity of the quadriceps muscles (vastus lateralis, medial and rectus femoris) and biceps femoris The study protocol consists of two moments: 1) pre and post fatigue protocol; 2) 48 hours post-intervention: pre and post fatigue protocol.;Fatigue Index Evaluation - the fatigue index will be calculated in the isokinetic evaluation. For the index calculation the formula is used: average of the 5 highest initial contractions - average of the 5 last contractions divided by the average of the 5 highest initial contractions x 100 | — |
