Age
40 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Patients after cardiac surgery; both sexes; between forty and eighty years; had no postoperative complications; hospital discharge less than eight days.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals unable to follow protocol; death.

Maximum distance covered in meters assessed in the six-minute walk test before and after intervention.

Secondary

Respiratory muscle strength measured in centimeters of water by pre- and post-intervention manovacuometry; ;Localized resistance of the lower limbs evaluated by the number of repetitions performed in the sit and stand test in one minute before and after the intervention;;Thoracic expandability measured by thoracic cirtometry by inspiratory and expiratory measures at the axillary, nipple and xiphoid levels by pre- and post-intervention .;Quality of life conducted through the short questionnaire, version in Portuguese, WHOQOL-Bref by pre- and post-intervention . This instrument consists of 26 questions divided into four domains (physical, psychological, social relations and the environment) and two general questions about quality of life. The score for each question varies between 1 and 5, the higher the quality of life.
