This is a randomized controlled clinical trial with cluster sampling. Four municipalities from three states in Northeast Brazil will participate: Aracaju/SE, Arapiraca/AL, Feira de Santana/BA, and Ilh
and 3) control group (two schools). The estimated sample size is 180 children (30 from each school

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Students in the 2nd year of elementary school from municipal schools in Aracaju/SE, Arapiraca/AL, Feira de Santana/BA, and Ilhéus/BA; aged between 7 and 9 years; must not present any impediment to performing postural transitions; must return the duly signed informed consent form from parents or guardians.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Students who stop attending school for any reason or express interest in leaving their studies will be excluded

MeasureTime frame
Cognition: Five aspects of cognitive function will be assessed: inhibitory control, visual attention, spatial reasoning, spatial orientation, and working memory. Computerized tests using the open-source JATOS platform (http://www.jatos.org/) will be used. The tests will be conducted during the child's school hours and administered by a qualified researcher trained to administer the tests. Children will be taken individually from the classroom to the assessment room. The total number of correct answers and the time spent (in milliseconds) to complete each test will be used as indicators of cognitive performance. Inhibitory control will be assessed using the Go/NoGo test. This test consists of a graphic presentation of several figures in the form of a traffic light, where the colors green and red alternate randomly. When the figure with the green traffic light appears, the child must press a key on the computer. When the figure with the red traffic light appears, the child must wait for the figure to change without pressing the key. Visual attention will be assessed using the Visual Search test. This test presents several figures with various T's randomly distributed. The child will be instructed to press a computer key every time the letter T appears in its normal position (not inverted) and in red, even if there is only one letter in this form among many others. If the image shows the letter T inverted or in another color (yellow), the child should wait for the image to change without pressing the key. Visual attention will also be assessed using the Posner paradigm, with the Cueing test. The test consists of presenting four squares in a cross shape (up, down, right, and left). The child will be instructed to press (on the numeric keypad) the number corresponding to the direction (square) where the valid clue (asterisk) appeared and ignore the invalid clue (arrow). Physical activity levels will be measured both subjectively and objectively. For the subjective assessment, the Web-CAAFE questionnaire (http://www.caafe.ufsc.br/portal) will be used. Children will be taken out of their classrooms and directed to a quiet environment where they will complete the assessment accompanied by a project professional. The questionnaire is interactive and easy to understand, and can be completed by the child themselves in approximately 10 to 15 minutes.;Quality of life will be assessed using the Autoquestionnaire Qualité de Vie Enfant Imagé (AUQEI), an instrument validated for Brazilian children and suitable for those in the process of literacy, as it uses visual response resources. The AUQEI consists of 26 questions distributed across four domains—autonomy, leisure, functions, and family—that explore the child's satisfaction in different contexts of daily life, such as family and social relationships, activities, health, and parental separation.;Daytime sleepiness will be measured using the Pediatric Daytime Sleepiness Scale (PDSS), which consists of eight multiple-choice questions that investigate the degree of sleepiness during the day.;Students' perceptions of classes and school will be assessed using a questionnaire developed by the ERGUER project team. The questions address how much the child likes school, classroom activities, the teacher, and how they feel in the school environment. To facilitate understanding, especially among younger children, images of five faces representing different emotional states are used, on a five-point visual analog scale: faces 1 and 2 indicate negative perceptions, faces 4 and 5 indicate positive perceptions, and face 3 represents a neutral perception.
