Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Presentation of the expected outcome: hoping to find a better evaluation in comparison between the two evaluated techniques, it was observed that the McCash technique presents superiority compared to the Bruner technique, scar quality and patient satisfaction after partial fasciectomy surgery in patients with Dupuytren's disease

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Presentation of outcome 2 found: The mean age of patients was 61 years, most of the sample (72.2%) was composed of white patients, and their main comorbidity was Diabetes Mellitus (27.7%). A total of 17 patients were alcoholics and 15 patients were smokers. The operated side was dominant in 46 patients (64%). There was great variation in the time of onset of the disease, with an average of 6 years. A total of 40 patients (57%) reported manual labor. Eight patients had Ledderhose disease and only one patient had Peyronie's disease.;Presentation of the outcome 3 found: The McCash incision technique proved to be superior to the Bruner technique in relation to the occurrence of postoperative complications, in most types of complications observed, being statistically significant in its sample calculation. However, in terms of postoperative pain, there is pain superiority in the McCash group.;Presentation of the outcome 4 found: The Mann-Withney test showed a significant difference between the Bruner and McCash groups, in relation to all scales, with statistically significant differences from the results of the Mann-Withney test, on the visual analog scale, on the Vancouver scale and on the POSAS scale, both on the part of the observer and on the part of the patient.
