Age
20 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Type II diabetes mellitus, according to American Diabetes Association criteria; between 20 and 70 years old; of both sexes; in diet therapy or with oral antidiabetic drugs and signing the term of free and informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Individuals with type II DM with very high risk, ie those with previous ulcers and / or amputations, clinical diagnosis of hemiplegia, paraplegia, or Parkinson's disease; limb amputation; a history of alcohol or drugs; a herniated disc; leprosy; severe arthritis that prevents walking; insanity; intellectual disability; and other psychiatric disorders.

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The selective strengthening technique for each finger of the intrinsic musculature of the foot is expected to be more effective than the traditional strengthening of the intrinsic and extrinsic muscles of the foot.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
The selective strengthening technique for each toe of the intrinsic foot muscles is expected to be more effective than the traditional strengthening of the intrinsic and extrinsic foot muscles after the four-week washout period.
