Eligibility

Age
17 Years to 28 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Age between 18 and 30 years; present surgical site without current signs and symptoms of infection; present maxillary third molars in similar positions and with indication for extraction.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: history of pregnancy or lactation, with a history of allergy to any drug used in the experiment; who are using drugs that alter bone metabolism; do not participate in all phases of the proposed research; use medications that interfere with the procedure on the day or week prior to the research, such as antibiotics , corticosteroids and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
It will be evaluated whether the vestibular infiltration of lidocaine and articaine is sufficient to promote anesthesia for performing maxillary third molar extractions. The anesthetic efficacy will be verified through probing in the vestibular and palatal regions. This study is expected to confirm that vestibular anesthetic infiltration is sufficient to promote anesthesia for maxillary tooth extraction.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Secondary outcomes are not expected.
