Psychological Resilience Assessment: a resilience scale (RS) will be used composed of 25 items, described in a positive way with Likert type response. This instrument is used to assess levels of positive psychosocial adjustment in the face of major life events. The scores range from 25 to 175 points.Scores from 25 to 120 indicate low resilience, from 125 to 145 indicate moderately low to moderate resilience and scores greater than 145 indicate moderately high to high resilience.Evaluation of Quality of Life: Kidney Disease and Quality of Life Short-Form (KDQOL-SF)being considered one of the most complete questionnaires available in Brazil to evaluate the Quality of Life Related to Health of patients with chronic renal failure on dialysis. It is expected that the application of the Relaxation, Mental Imagery and Spirituality (RIME) intervention may have influences on the levels of these main variables. RIME is a psychotherapeutic intervention for terminal patients, patients with chronic diseases and with possibilities of cure, inserted in the context of palliative care, which was built through the integration of mental relaxation techniques and visualization of mental images with the elements that describe the nature of spirituality, whose objective is to re-signify the symbolic pain of death and the psycho-spiritual suffering of these patients (ELIAS, 2001, 2005).The basic symptoms to be worked on are: psychic pain, represented by fear of suffering and depressed mood (Sadness, anguish, and guilt over loss)and spiritual pain, represented by the fear of death and after death, ideas and conceptions in relation to spirituality, sense of life and death and blame before God (ELIAS, GIGLIO, 2001a, 2001b, 2002a, 2002b).Initially, all scales will be applied in the experimental and control groups. After the application of the scales, the RIME intervention will be applied in the experimental group, being a total of five sessions, applying one session per week in each patient, indi
