Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: patients must be between 18 and 65 years old regardless of sex; meet the criteria of the American College of Rheumatology with regard to the diagnosis of fibromyalgia;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: users of B-blocking drugs; diagnosed with neurological disease that affects upper motor neuron or progressive conditions; severe osteoporosis; present of fever; infection; malignancy; inability to answer the questionnaires; physical therapy treatment on the same day of the study; does not reach a score that characterizes the diagnosis as fibromyalgia;

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate the effect of osteopathic physiotherapeutic treatment on the autonomic nervous system verified through the heart rate variability where we will see if there is an improvement in parameters after treatment.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
To evaluate the correlation between changes in the autonomic nervous system and quality of life in patients with fibromyalgia, verified through the heart rate variability and the fibromyalgia impact questionnaire.
