Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Outcome 1: 10% Hydrogen Peroxide applied to the face is effective. A whitening of 5-8 units was observed in the PHP group on the Vita Classic scale and 2-3 units on the Vita Bleachedguide scale. While the PHV group gets 8 to 10 units on the Vita Classic scale and 5 to 8 units on the Vita Bleachedguide scale. There was a statistically significant difference between the two groups in the subjective color analysis, while the ?E (objective evaluation) did not differ between the two groups. For all tests, a significance level of 5 percent will be adopted.;Expected Outcome 1: 10% Hydrogen Peroxide, when applied to the palatal face, is expected to be effective. Color assessment will be measured subjectively and objectively before the start of the intervention, after 7 and 14 days after the start of the intervention and 30 days after the end of treatment. The subjective color evaluation will be made with the aid of the Vitta Classica and Bleacheguide Scales. And the lens with EasyShade spectrophotometer, being indicated the values ??L, a and b, to compare the results with other studies, these values ??will be converted in the CIE system Lab. For all tests, a significance level of 5 porcento will be adopted.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Expected Outcome 1: No difference in risk and intensity of sensitivity is expected when Hydrogen Peroxide is applied to the palate or buccal surface. For sensitivity assessment, participants were instructed to recall pain perception daily during whitening using the 5-point Numerical Scale (NRS) and the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). For the use of NRS, patients should choose a value between 0 and 4 to represent sensitivity, being 0 - no sensitivity, 1 - mild, 2 - moderate, 3 - strong, and 4 - very strong. For the VAS, the patients positioned a cursor on the 10 mm scale, being 0 to 1 - no sensitivity and 10 - intolerable pain.;Outcome 1: There was no difference in risk and intensity of sensitivity when Hydrogen Peroxide is applied to the palatal or buccal surface.
