18 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Homens e mulheres; Age = 18 years; Diagnosis of peripheral arterial disease with ankle-brachial index < 0.90 at rest; Individuals without physical and cognitive limitations for performing and understanding the procedures; In case of hearing impairment, the participant may only participate if they have correction by a prosthesis that guarantees their exposure to sound stimuli

Exclusion criteria: Participants with clinical conditions that contraindicate physical exercise

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The walking distance is expected to be greater in the exercise test performed with music in individuals with claudication due to peripheral arterial disease.;Walking time is expected to be longer than exercise testing performed with music in claudicating individuals due to peripheral arterial disease.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Comparing oxygenation and muscle metabolism during an exercise test with and without the use of music, it is expected that the oxygenation and metabolism responses will be better in the test with music.;The hemodynamic response during an exercise test with music is expected to be better when compared to a test without music.;It is expected that the perceived effort and time of onset of the claudication symptom reported will be shorter in the test performed with music when compared to the test without music.;Understanding participants’ perceptions of the presence of music during exertion.
