Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
Modify the epidemiological profile related to obesity, diabetes and arterial hypertension in users of selected primary health care services. The reduction in prevalence will be observed through a reduction in body mass index, assessed through a decrease in anthropometric measurements and weight for obesity; decrease in fasting glucose measured in plasma (through laboratory blood test), in the case of diabetes; and decrease in blood pressure measured in the clinic, in the case of arterial hypertension.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Users are expected to change their eating habits and physical activity pattern. In relation to eating habits, an increase in the intake of healthy food is estimated, which will be evaluated by the Questionário de Frequência Alimentar ELSA-Brasil, adapted. For physical activity patterns, an increase in physical activity is expected, assessed by the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAC).;Improvements in mental health, with a decrease in symptoms of depression, assessed by the total score of the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), and a decrease in symptoms of anxiety, assessed by the total score of the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI).;For users who are smokers and/or alcoholics, a decrease in nicotine dependence assessed by the Fagerström test total score, and a decrease in alcohol consumption assessed by the total score on the AUDIT is expected.;In a subsample, an increase in self-care is expected (higher scores on the capacidade de autocuidado scale, ASA-A), better sleep quality (assessed by the índice de qualidade de sono de Pittsburgh), greater satisfaction with social support (assessed by the satisfação com suporte social scale, ESSS), less concern about body shape (assessed by the Body Shape Questionnaire, BSQ), and increased self-esteem (assessed by the autoestima de Rosenberg scale).;It is expected that managers and health professionals who will participate in the training will be able to identify, intervene and carry out the reorientation of the work process, the management and monitoring of actions aimed at the prevention of risk factors and the treatment of obesity, diabetes mellitus and arterial hypertension.
