Age
60 Years to No maximum

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Older people aged sixty years or older; scoring on one or more components of the self-reported frailty screening tool; preserved mobility; availability to engage in training three times a week; signing the informed consent form

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Present a medical diagnosis of dementia; psychiatric disorders; mental disability; medical diagnosis of stroke with severe impairment; physical impairment that prevents mobility; unavailability to attend training sessions three times a week; not scoring on at least one component of the self-reported frailty screening tool

Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
An improvement in the modification of frailty status in older adults is expected, with a minimum reduction of 1.62 points, which will be assessed using the Fried et al. (2001) scale at baseline and after 24 weeks of bodyweight interval training

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
Evaluate the responses of bodyweight interval training on physical-functional capacity after 24 weeks of intervention in older adults, which will be assessed by isometric leg extension and elbow flexion strength (Hand-Held Dynamometer), the five-time sit-to-stand test, the timed up and go (TUG) test, and gait speed ;Evaluate the effect of interval training with body weight on cardiohemodynamic responses (blood pressure, heart rate) assessed by automatic sphygmomanometer during 24 weeks of intervention.;Evaluate the responses of interval training with body weight on body composition after 24 weeks, established by the InBODY 120 bioimpedance method, which determines fat-free mass and body fat in kg and their respective percentages in the upper limbs, lower limbs, and trunk
