Design outcomes
Primary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| The primary outcome will consist of a dichotomous variable, reflecting: the presence/absence of Schistosoma Mansoni identified by the participants' stool examination; of Biomphalaria sp, identified by integrative taxonomy; the indication of a transmission focus, identified by the presence of mollusks releasing Schistosoma Mansoni cercariae and by the presence/absence of praziquantel resistance markers in treated and untreated participants | — |
Secondary
| Measure | Time frame |
|---|---|
| Will consist of an index to be constructed, combining evidence of disease occurrence based on individual, malacological, and environmental assessments;Presence of praziquantel-resistant Schistosoma mansoni in Brazil and, if confirmed, genomic surveillance of this resistance will be proposed | — |
