Design outcomes

Primary

MeasureTime frame
The home intervention program based on the model focused on the family established for both cases showed potential for improving the perception of quality of life, satisfaction with the technology (wheelchair) and occupations of informal caregivers of adolescents with cerebral palsy. The average quality of life of the caregivers obtained through the WHOQOL-Bref increased from 83 points to 88 points. The average for satisfaction with the technology obtained through QUEST was 42 points to 46.5. From the COPM, it was observed an improvement in the perception of occupational performance, going from an average of 15 points to 17.5, as well as satisfaction with occupations, from 14.5 to 15 points.

Secondary

MeasureTime frame
In the fallow-up it was possible to observe that the scores related to the occupations of the caregivers (perception of performance and satisfaction) increased. The averages of the quality of life and wheelchair satisfaction scores presented a decrease in this last phase. According to the COPM, the average perception of performance went from 17.5 points to 21 points; the average satisfaction with occupations increased from 15 points to 18.5. For QUEST, satisfaction with technology decreased from 46.5 to 45.5. In the data obtained from the WHOQOL-Bref, the scores went from 88 points to 77.5.
