Age
18 Years to 59 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults of both genders; aged 18 to 59; with Cystic Fibrosis; under the care of a specialized outpatient clinic at a tertiary hospital

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Comorbidities characterized by systemic low-grade chronic inflammation or malabsorptive syndromes, except for those secondary to Cystic Fibrosis; malignant neoplasm; edema; chronic kidney disease with glomerular filtration rate less than 60 mg/dL; end-stage organ failure; amputated limbs; gastric or intestinal resections; implanted cardiac devices; chronic use of oral immunosuppressants or anti-inflammatory drugs; initiation of diuretic use or dose modification 3 months prior to recruitment; pulmonary exacerbations within 3 months of recruitment; ethical restrictions that prevent proper consent for study participation; women who are pregnant or breastfeeding

MeasureTime frame
It is expected to find a positive correlation between the phase angle of body bioelectrical impedance analysis and forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) measured by spirometry or plethysmography, with a correlation coefficient greater than or equal to 0.5;It is expected to find an inverse correlation between the phase angle of body bioelectrical impedance analysis and serum levels of C-reactive protein, with a correlation coefficient of less than or equal to -0.5

MeasureTime frame
It is expected that the phase angle of body bioelectrical impedance analysis will exhibit a correlation coefficient greater than or equal to 0.5 with lean mass and less than or equal to -0.5 with fat mass, both obtained from body bioelectrical impedance analysis
