Eligibility

Age
18 Years to 60 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: chronic nonspecific, persistent or periodic low back pain for more than three months; 18 and 60 years of age; pain with a Numerical Pain Scale greater than 3 on the day of assessment; be classified as at least moderately active according to the Human Activity Profile Questionnaire.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: pregnant women; lactating women; sedentary individuals; Body Mass Index (BMI) greater than or equal to 30 kg/m2; without physical therapy treatment simultaneously with the study period; surgery in the lumbar region; without clinical diagnosis of low back pain; not present low back pain radiating to the glutes and lower limbs; sensory alteration in the lower limbs and the use of medication to relieve low back pain 48 hours before the performance of the exercises; neurological disease, previous diagnosis of heart disease, acute lung disease, pregnant women, uncontrolled hypertension beginning of medication use less than 1 year ago), orthopedic injuries.

Increase in fucional capacity assessed by Oswestry questionary after 12 weekends trainings.;Decrease in numbers of descriptors on pain quality assesssed by MCGill questionary after 12 weekends trainings.;Increase in resistance and strengh lower limbs and trunk muscles assessed by handheld dynamometer, sit and stand test, abdominal and extension resistance test after 12 weekends trainings.;Increase in pain catastrofization by pain catastrophizing scale after 12 weekends trainings.;Decreased depression by the Beck Depression Inventory and anxiety by visual analogue anxiety scale after 12 weekends trainings.;Increase on muscular thickness of abdominal rectus, internal oblicuos, external oblicuos and transversus assessed by ultrasound image after 12 weekends trainings.;Improvement in pain intensity assessed by pressure algometry after 12 weeks of training.;Improved flexibility of the lumbar spine and lower limbs after 12 weeks of training assessed by fleximetry, schober's test, hand-floor distance, straight leg lift test, popliteal angle test and thomas test after 12 weeks of training.
